Is it true that you can keep algae eaters in a swimming pool safely?

I have heard people keep them in swimming pools (with no chemicals of course) and they basically keep the pool clean and stuck off dead skin of humans swimming in it. Is this true that you can do it? Are there other fish you could include in the pool? Links would be great! Is it true that you can keep algae eaters in a swimming pool safely?
You could if there's no chemicals...but most algae eaters live in tropical waters and you would have to use multiple heaters to heat the tnak, which would cost alot.

There is a reason that chemicals are used in swimming pool. It keeps things sanitary. To each their own, but I think if you had a pool like that any pool parties you would have would be a bust.
no it isn't true heres a link....

Ummm...so what is killing the bacteria in the pool if you don't have chemicals?? not to mention that you would have to clean up the algae eaters fish poop all the time. Have you ever had to clean the bottom of a fish tank? I think if you would really rather have fish than chemicals, you need a pond instead of a pool. Not to mention the fact that the fish would get sucked into your skimmer and clog up the filters and die. That wouldn't be very good for your pool or the fish.
do you wanna swim in fish poop
