Is religion basically the art of perpetually insisting something that isn鈥檛 true, is true?

Is athiesm basically the art of perpetually insisting something that isn鈥檛 true, is true?

In short, no.

Neither are.

People are entitled to their personal beliefs. No matter what they are or how wrong they are, so long as they do not infringe on the rights of others.

Preventing others their choices and beliefs is... Well, wrong.

Sure, some people can be pushy and say that you're wrong... But that's the drawback of having free speech.

And isn't having to listen to some people talking about something you disagree with a minor drawback compared to the ability to state your own opinion, whatever it may be?Is religion basically the art of perpetually insisting something that isn鈥檛 true, is true?
No, religion isn't about truth or even the search for truth--it's about control. Goal 1: Control the behavior of others. Goal 2: Control the thoughts of others in order to ensure that they will behave as I wish, even when I am not watching them. Goal 3: Demand tithes/sacrifices from others for the benefit of myself and my progeny. But when you have reached the point that the others dismiss logic and use their brainwashed intellects to defend the absurdities and physical impossibilities of the creed you fabricated, then ... then you have mastered the art of religion! Is religion basically the art of perpetually insisting something that isn鈥檛 true, is true?
You need to be specific dont you if you want a considered answer?

What is not true ? and do you have the evidence to prove such claims ?You may have ,of course, but blanket statements make you look simple unless we know what you are worrried about.

So as Pilate asked '; What is Truth?

You should share your secret if you know something we don't

However ,Atheism can't be truth as it is the absence of reason, purpose and explanation. Negativity in all its tedium and deceit, is that what you offer ?What could be more hopeless and useless than faith in nothingness and a lost eternity ?

Strangely ,many turn such Negativity into a fervent religion itself , making man the god just as the builders of Babylons Towering City and ending up in the pile of rubble scattered at Birs Nimrhoud.

Religion covers a whole range of belief systems, not the least one being the god of atheism that assigned millions of people to death in the 20th century for not accepting it .(Marxism/Nazism etc) Consider the frenzied evangelism of godlessness all around ,trying at all costs to suppress the truth and lower humanity to the level of beasts . Denying spiritual values in favour of short sighted materialism plunging itself into its own spiral of self destruction , greed and corruption in high places.

Forcing political ';correctness'; by stopping the display of devotional tokens by those you dont agree with.. Debasing positive belief systems that offer hope, encouragement, self giving and generosity.

The religion of Atheism carries a death mask ,soulless and uninspiring. An impostor above all others and practicing the arts to very good effect by swamping the educational system with bent science and liberal morality.
No, the theory of evolution is. Also the nonsense concepts of 'homophobia', the 'ethical atheist', 'fossil fuel', the 'master race', 'space aliens'...the list goes on and on but it all comes back to hateful deviants trying to insult and offend those whom they perceive as better than themselves, like you regarding me. Kneel, peasant.
Same can be said of science.

Evolution, hasn't been proven as fact yet it is taught as such.

EVERYTHING in this world is just theories.

When will everyone else realize that?
Your opinion...

5 billion people worldwide have religious beliefs
No, that's faith. Religion is telling people how to live their lives based on that untruth.
Isn't that true of everyday life, as well? That's the sole purpose of Ego, to keep the illusion going.
No, you are thinking of atheism. Also where is your proof to back up that there is no God?
It's more a case of convincing people ';I know whats best for you in every facet of your life';.
Not quite. Good try though.
And getting money for it.
no thats called lying
