Is true knowledge knowing that you know nothing or is true knowledge knowing that you know everything?

When I was 15, I received a revelation from God. The number 0 the letter o and the circle O were all the same thing. When I would explain this to people they didn't get it and thought I was a lunatic. I had no idea how to explain to anyone what it meant, and so very clearly I knew everything and nothing at the same time.

If I were to explain to you that O represent the universe as a whole, and o represents any given part of it, and that 0 represents non-existent but functionally participatory potential (such as potential particles in the workings of the quantum physics description of the electron.)

This means that every component of the universe is a REPLICA of the whole universe (to see more about this, search: Mandelbrot Sets, Recessive Wallpapering and Complexity Theory.) It also means that the void part of the universe (potential) determines the ACTUAL parts of the universe, and that things that really are are imaginary ALSO.

This means that anything is everything and nothing at the same time!

No wonder nobody could understand me.

So look at anything in front of you. Know that and you know everything AND nothing. Is true knowledge knowing that you know nothing or is true knowledge knowing that you know everything?
I believe Socrates made a strong argument that true knowledge is knowing that you do not know everything. There are facts, such as math, that is fairly resolute but when it comes to justice, beauty, and equality we as people can not be definite on a standard of which to base such categorizations off of. If one where to consider something beautiful and have true meaning as to what the essence of beauty is then it would have to be a standard that people everywhere could follow and it simply is impossible. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Anyway, I think, and agree with Socrates that one who admits that they in fact do not know actually know more than one who believes they do know when in fact they do not.Is true knowledge knowing that you know nothing or is true knowledge knowing that you know everything?
You can't possibly know everything, so there's no way that you can ';know'; that you know everything.

In my opinion, true knowledge is not how much knowledge you gain in the pursuit of knowing, but simply being in the pursuit of knowledge itself. No one can know everything, but conversely, no-one knows nothing.

As my English teacher said, ';You can't say everything there is to say, but say something anyway';.

You can't know everything there is to know, but knowing that is a start, and trying to know more is the perfect way to continue.
Neither. The first step to learning anything is admitting that you don't know it. Not admitting that you know nothing.

The belief that you know everything is a common teenage state of mind that happens after they learn how two things work; Sex and money. If they don't outgrow that state they are unable to learn anything substantial again.

So true knowledge is in between those two extremes; nothing and everything!
In my humble opinion, it is WISDOM that tells us that we cannot know everything. We are simpler creatures than we like to admit. There are limits to our human abilities and therefore there are limits to our capacity for knowledge. We cannot conceive of ';nothingness'; so to say that we know nothing is also incorrect. I know I don't know it all, and I'm OK with that.
I think true knowledge is not knowing that anything you have as a kind of knowledge is true. True knowledge is quite likely knowing that you know everything but it is probably impossible for a human to have this style of true knowledge.
True knowledge is knowing truth and alingning yourself with truth.

Truth is that which is whether we believe it or not, accept it or not, or like it or not. Knowing what is true and why you know it is true knowledge.
';Knowledge is of the mind (intellect), Wisdom is of the Spirit (Divine Presence, or Universal Intelligence).';

The only way you can know all is to become All, to unite your personal selfhood with the greater Self, or Universal Mind.
There are three truths about truth.

1) We can not know what is true. Our minds are too finite to know all to know what is true about any subject.

2) Truth must come from without the system

3) God freely gives His truth..
It is impossible to know everything and impossible to know nothing, you will always know your own thoughts.
Lets debunk the last statement, one cannot know everything. Therefore true knowledge means that you can know some things :)
True knowledge comes when you realize that not only do you not know what's going on, but neither does anybody else.
';When you know, you don't know - when you don't know, you know'; ~ Zen saying.
...true knowledge is what you accept as true knowledge and be happy...

...thanks for asking...
