The only true God, of false/true Gods: is that God perfect and also merciless, or perfect and also merciful?

Perfect law would be also merciless,

if the purpose of law is to shut every mouth.

Perfect grace would be also merciful,

if the purpose of grace is salvation, not extinction.

Comments? The only true God, of false/true Gods: is that God perfect and also merciless, or perfect and also merciful?
The perfect law was perfectly kept by the perfect Jesus Christ. Every mouth was shut when he then took the sin of the world upon himself on the cross and was mercilessly put to death for that. Yet paradoxically, divine mercy was poured out simultaneously because by accepting punishment for sin he had not committed, the law's demands were silenced, once and for all time!

The cross was where wrath and mercy met - and kissed each other. What grace! What liberation! We are left speechless in wonder and adoration at our perfect and merciful only true God!
