My husband tells me that many moroccans do not know their true age because of problems in getting their birth certificates in a timely manner. In other words, many have to wait several years before they can get their birth certificates. As a result, many people do not know their true age. Is this true?Is it true many Moroccans do not know their true age due to problems in getting timely birth certificates?
No clue, although you must be talking about very poor/uneducated people here (who don't/can't follow what year it is). Otherwise parents should be able to keep track on their own... just a thought... it sounds a bit like a myth/joke to me.
