Is it true that Paul changed the true teachings of Christianity?

Someone told me that Paul never even saw Jesus while he was alive. How can someone like that change so much? Is it true that Paul killed so many Christians? If so why do we follow him?Is it true that Paul changed the true teachings of Christianity?
That seems to be the case. We don't know much about the true teachings of Jesus. The original Jerusalem church disappeared in 70 AD and left no clear indication of what it taught. Most of what has come down to us is writings from Paul's followers, and those writings were declared true doctrine by the church that benefited from them.

The bits of evidence we have from the early church indicate that Paul went off in his own direction. Even the books written by Paul's followers hint at major conflict between Paul and the original apostles, and Paul's letters contain hints that he was being challenged on a regular basis. Is it true that Paul changed the true teachings of Christianity?
Friend if we do not know the true teachings of Jesus Christ...then we don't know Jesus Christ ever existed..your point is moot.

read the bible to see what happened for him to change.

Paul did place emphasis on certain things seperate from the Peter/James messianic style of the Mid 1st C. So a lot of christians place thier faith on Paul, while a few others look more towards Peter/James %26amp; the epistle of Hebrews.
Paul was a apostle and prophet and taught the word of God the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Edit to Happy, What do you think the kingdom gospel is if not the atonement? What do you suppose Jesus taught when he said,

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Jesus said the only way to the Father was through him which is the atonement.

Jesus said you must be bron again which is born of the spirit which is throguh the atonement.

Paul taught the same Gospel of Jesus Christ as did all of the writers of the Gospel.

Paul did not invent the atonement or the deity of Christ please read the New Testament it is all in agreement even with the books of Moses. John as I have quoted is very clear.

The word is God and the word was made flesh.

Those who follow Muhammad are not simply in disagreement with the teachings of Paul but with the teachings of all of the prophets as well as the teachings of Christ and all of the word of God.
he taught existing christianity. Jesus never taught christianity. He or his follower to obey the Law while paul ask them to break the Law.

Jesus taugh ';kingdom of heaven'; and paul taught ';atonement for sin';

Just find out on what authority christians added his letters in bible???
The only way that Paul could have seen Jesus was while he was alive, after all, Paul could not see _anything_ after he died.

Paul did kill many followers of Jesus and was doing so in light of the current religious teachings.

After his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus (at which time Saul of Tarsus became Paul the apostle), Paul went on to carry the Gospel to the gentiles..._per Jesus' instructions_.
When I compare the gospels of Jesus with the epistles of Paul, I see two different messages. Jesus teaches the gospel of salvation, and Paul teaches the false gospel of condemnation.

This is the same as the Garden of Eden. First, the LORD came down and told Adam and Eve the truth. This is like Jesus coming down and teaching us the true gospel of salvation.

Next, Satan took the form of a serpent, and told Adam and Eve a lie, and they believe him, and did not believe the LORD. In the same way, Paul came with the false gospel of condemnation, and men believe it instead of the true gospel of salvation.
Paul did sit on the Sanharin court which did not follow the teachings of Christ, But on the road to Damascus, God struck him down %26amp; Paul was converted. Now many tries to say that is what Paul said, But let's see what Paul did say. 1st. Cor. 1:1 Paul called to be an Apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God.
no! he was an Hebrew not a Christian.

he and the other 11 apostles were called christians by the roman empire. That was his Hebrew culture, not a man made religion called christianity.
If he did, the Bible is worthless.
No, he agrees with the book of Mark, the shorter version that is. :)
