A quadrilateral whose diagonals are congruent and perpendicular is a square.

A short explanation would be great! THanks! Is the following statement always true, always false, or true in some cases but false in others?
It is sometimes true.

It would be true, of course, in the case of a square.

However, it could also be a kite.

To make the statement always true, you would need to add that the diagonals bisect each other.
